Rostov on Don, Russia
Asmolovsky Theatre
Rachmaninoff's role
Solo Pianist
Notes
No program details. Satina indicated that in this concert Rachmaninoff would have played his own works. In other programs of this time, he frequently played his Piano Sonata no. 2 in B flat minor, op. 36. The name of the venue is given as City Theatre in the History of Russian Music (vol. 10V, book 2, p. 470), although in other sources it is referred to as Asmolovsky Theatre, acknowledging the philanthropy of Vladimir Asmolov during its construction.
