Satina indicated that this was the last appearance of Rachmaninoff in Moscow. She also noted that ‘all the proceeds will be given to the needs of the army. Orchestra seats at 4-12 roubles, boxes from 20-64 roubles. Balcony at 1.50’. Images of the program of this concert are included in Keldysh's Rachmaninoff and His Time, indicating that there were 15 minute intervals between the works. Rachmaninoff's letter to the Commissar in Moscow (no. 550 in Literaturnoye nasledie, vol. 2, p. 92) indicates that it was Rachmaninoff's direct request to organise this concert, for the purpose outlined above. Letter 551 (p. 93) indicates that 5785 rubles 29 kopecks was sent for forwarding to the Minister of War, after itemised expenses were subtracted from total proceeds.
