Notes
Satina indicated that the Strauss-Tausig 'Valse Caprice' listed in the program was probably ‘Man lebt nur einmal’, which is confirmed by one of the attached reviews. It has not been entirely certain which Gavotte by Gluck (arranged by Ernest Pauer) was played during this season: Martyn (p. 425) believed that it was from 'Paris and Helen', however program and other press material from the time indicated it was from 'Iphigenia en Aulide' (it appears the same gavotte may have been used in both works). The Prelude in C sharp minor, op. 3, no. 2, is noted as one of three encores. LoC, Sergei Rachmaninoff Archive, ML31.R33, Papers of Sophie Satin, boxes 82-89.
